Wow!! I decided to walk into the Book Ends bookstore in Winchester, MA, and what an awesome treat that was. The two women running the place, Paula and Judy were SO NICE.
I brought in my new books and they were like YES! We would love to have the book here. Say what!?
They have awesome sections for young adult books, and even summer reading lists from the local middle and high schools. Here’s a video Judy and I took together.
So awesome. If you are in the Boston area, go check out the store so you can go buy copies of both It’s the Depression for Me and It’s the Awkwardness for Me.
What I learned from this experience is that you never know! Always give it a shot. Don’t assume someone will say no just because others have in the past. Just introduce yourself and start talking with the manager or owner. It may be a good fit or it might not, but always go for it. You never know if you don’t ask!
